Цель статьи – актуализировать теоретико-методологический базис мезоэкономических исследований на основе проведения систематического библиометрического анализа, направленного на выявление и структуризацию ключевых тематических направлений.

Методы

Методы. В работе применен систематический библиометрический анализ с использованием инструмента VOSviewer для построения терминологических карт, кластеризации данных и анализа динамики тематик. Исследование базируется на выборке публикаций из базы данных Scopus (2008–2025 гг.), отфильтрованных по упоминанию мезоуровня экономики. Методология включает ретроспективный анализ развития концепции мезоуровня, идентификацию центральных терминов, кластерный анализ терминологических полей.

Результаты работы

Результаты работы. Определен контекст развития исследований мезоуровня экономики. Выявлено 8 тематических кластеров, отражающих сдвиг исследовательской повестки от статичных структур к динамическим трансформациям, приоритетность поиска прикладных управленческих инструментов над теоретическими. Установлена центральная роль концепции устойчивого развития с акцентом на экологическую составляющую, инструментом реализации которой выступает цифровая трансформация. Определены ключевые лакуны: слабая концептуализация интеграционных форм, недостаточный учет социально-демографических и геополитических факторов. Обоснована необходимость дополнения традиционных подходов стейкхолдерским, поскольку гармонизация интересов участников является критически важной для решения прикладных задач на мезоуровне. В контексте стейкхолдерского подхода мезоуровень экономики может быть определен как динамическое пространство гармонизации интересов и ресурсов заинтересованных сторон, направленное на повышение эффективности межорганизационного взаимодействия.

Выводы

Выводы. Проведенный анализ подтверждает целесообразность исследования мезоуровня экономики для решения задач адаптации к глобальным кризисам и практической реализации принципов устойчивого развития. При этом для исследования мезоуровня целесообразно использовать сочетание различных исследовательских подходов. Перспективные направления исследований включают разработку строгого концептуального аппарата для интеграционных форм развития бизнеса.

Purpose

Purpose: to update the methodological foundation of meso-level economics research through a systematic bibliometric analysis that identifies and structures its key thematic areas and theoretical and methodological approaches.

Methods

Methods: the paper employs a systematic bibliometric analysis using the VOSviewer tool to construct terminological maps, cluster data and analyse the dynamics of topics. The present study is grounded in a selection of publications from the Scopus database (2008–2025), which have been filtered by mention of the meso-level of economy. The methodology encompasses a retrospective analysis of the mesolevel concept evolution, the identification of central terms, and the application of а cluster analysis to terminological domains.

Results

Results: the context of the development of meso-level economics research is defined. Eight thematic clusters reveal a paradigm shift: from static structures to dynamic transformations, and from theoretical to applied management tools. The sustainable development agenda – particularly its environmental dimension - emerges as central, enabled by digital transformation. Critical gaps include: (1) weak conceptualization of integration forms, and (2) insufficient attention to socio-demographic and geopolitical factors. Stakeholder approaches are essential for harmonizing interests in quasi-integrated structures. The meso-level is redefined as a dynamic space for harmonizing stakeholder interests and resources to enhance interorganizational efficiency.

Conclusions and Relevance: the meso-level confirms its role as a pivotal adaptation space for global crises and sustainability. Methodological pluralism and deeper theoretical integration are imperative. The future research should prioritize developing rigorous conceptual frameworks for business integration forms.
